SOME FACTS ABOUT COVENANT FAMILY MINISTRIES INCOPORATED (CFM Inc.)
CFM Inc. Is a local Christian community based loving and dynamic body of Christ located at Baoma Village; one of Freetown – our nation’s capital emerging peninsular rural communities. The inhabitants of this village are mostly Muslims generally occupied with stone/rock breaking and coal burning which is wildly used in Freetown for cooking fuel. CFM Inc. Is a ministry designed to helping improve both lives and the community by sharing the Love of Christ through teaching, preaching the gospel and as led undertake community and human resource development programs. Among our Ministry components we run a community local Church called Covenant Family Christian Church considered as the strength base of all we do. Within this church we run an in house Christian Leadership school called Covenant School of Ministry, a charity prep school called Covenant Preparatory School that caters for less privileged children in and around our village and a skill training school called Covenant Vocational Institute helping train AT-Risk youths also in and around the village. All of these are run by volunteers from within the church.
OUR BRIEF HISTORY
CFM Inc. took its place in Baoma in 2008 by Pastor Martin who moved into the village with his family after serving as visiting missionary for two years to the village. This made CFM Inc to be received as a community based body especially with his approach of work in the village. When he finally came in with his family from the main stream Goderich residence he started the church with a very small people in his sitting room with one of their sleeping rooms used as Sunday school room for the children that came. This starting was so humbling most especially when everyone that came to the church brought along their sitting benches because there were no sitting accommodation in his sitting room. Pastor valuing little beginnings spent time in prayer, evangelism and planning for this new born church.
